Silent Auction Items Needed for Harvest Ball Items are needed for the Colonial Heritage Community Foundation Harvest Ball to be held at Colonial Heritage on September 11, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. A Silent Auction will be held and all proceeds benefit the CHCF and their work to establish a licensed Adult Day Center to provide support and resources for these caregivers. Items for Food Pantry St. Olaf Catholic Church is planning to run a Summer feeding program for children of St. Olaf's pantry clients who will no longer receive free breakfast and lunch at school. The staff of volunteers are looking for reasonably priced or donated "Kid Friendly", breakfast and lunch items to place in the bags. The program will begin on June 18 and run for 10 weeks, with pick-ups at the church on Fridays from 5 to 7 pm. Anyone able to help or donate can call 757-564-3819 and ask for Nancy or Cecile. |

Items Needed for Annual Back to School Event Grove Christian Outreach Center is in need of items for their annual Back to School event to be held on September 9, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Items needed include school supplies, funding, or concession supplies (Hot Dogs, Aluminum Foil Wrappers, Drinks, and Snacks). Each year close to 400 kids and 200 adults show up for this event and our main goal is to get needed school supplies into the homes of needy families. The prizes to the games are all school supplies! |
