Volunteers Needed for Back to School Festival Grove Christian Outreach Center - still has volunteer openings for their annual Back to School Festival on September 9, 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Needed are: 3 more people for concessions; 18 people to man games and rides; 2 people for face painting; 2 people to maintain trash and recyclables; 2 people to help with parking; 2 people to help with the craft table 1 spanish translator; 2 floaters to give breaks to stations; 1 person to help with registration. Volunteer Needed to Pick Up from Farmer's Market Grove Christian Outreach Center is in need of a volunteer to pick up leftovers from The Farmers Market on Saturdays through September. Pick up would be at 12:00 noon. Need to pick up and then bring to the Center on Monday morning (can be left on the front porch early) or arrangements can be made to drop it off with GCOC staff on the weekend. |

Volunteers Needed for Harvest Ball Volunteers are needed for the Colonial Heritage Community Foundation Harvest Ball to be held at Colonial Heritage on September 11, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. A Silent Auction will be held and all proceeds benefit the CHCF and their work to establish a licensed Adult Day Center to provide support and resources for these caregivers. We need volunteers for the committees that will coordinate the Ball and we also need items donated for the Silent Auction.Chairs of the event are Joan Bender, President; Mary L. Brett Wright, Vice President; and Ann Carnifax, Williamsburg Financial Services. We need volunteers in all areas to help including the Silent Auction, decorations, tickets etc. |

Volunteers to Mow Soccer Fields Virginia Legacy Soccer is committed to helping our county mow the soccer fields to improve the quality of the field for our youth players! We begin mowing this Spring/Summer. Volunteers need on Mondays or Fridays 9am-1. VLSC needs volunteers to help us mow the JCC soccer fields. JCC is providing the riding mower for us to utilize. Interested individuals should contact Tim Cristian @ 757-253-8572. Interested individuals are required to attend an introduction/training session on Thursday, April 15th. is in need of volunteers to mow the playing fields twice a week using a riding lawn mower (we provide). Times needed are Mondays and Fridays from April to November. If you or a group of volunteers are willing to donate your time, please contact us. |
