The 9/11 National Day of Service initiative encourages all Americans and others to voluntarily support charitable causes, perform good deeds and engage in other service activities in observance of the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. NetworkWilliamsburg has just graduated 12 members of the first Nonprofit Board Training Series, a 7-week class that educated community members on the roles, responsibilities, and rewards of serving on a nonprofit Board. We are excited to be able to present their names to our registered nonprofits as they seek to strengthen their boards with productive, committed, knowledgeable members. Graduates of the class are also now part of an online database of "trained" Board prospects, and will be able to participate in continuing education workshops, and an online group to share ideas, challenges, and other issues. If you are interested in learning more about our next class, contact us. |
